Fed opens two-day meeting as bitcoin hovers near $80,000

The Federal Reserve begins its two-day policy meeting Tuesday, with a decision due Wednesday at 2 p.m. ET and markets widely expecting rates to stay at 3.75% to 4.00%; CME FedWatch puts the odds of a hike below 10%. Bitcoin traded around $80,000 on Monday after U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs shed about $774 million across Thursday and Friday. Roughly $11 billion in bitcoin options also expire Friday.
