Privacy Policy
CHAINBRIEF (the “service”) handles as little personal information as possible on its website and its iOS and Android apps. Effective October 26, 2026.
What we collect
Accounts are optional and offered on the Korean edition (see the Korean privacy policy for what an account collects). Without an account there is nothing to sign up for. We do not collect names, contact details, location or advertising identifiers. The language, appearance and saved stories you choose in the app stay on your device and are never sent to our servers.
Third-party services
To show prices and indicators, the website and apps connect directly to the public APIs of CoinGecko, Upbit, Bithumb and Alternative.me. Those services may keep standard connection logs, such as IP addresses, under their own policies. The website is served by GitHub Pages and loads fonts from Google Fonts.
Partners and outside links
The service shows partner banners (BLOCKKEY, Perpline) and links to outside stories. Following a link takes you to that site, where its own privacy policy applies. We use no ad tracking.
Visit statistics (website)
The website (not the apps) uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits: pages viewed, device and browser type and approximate region are sent to Google and are not used to identify you. Advertising features and Google signals are off, and in the EEA, UK and Switzerland it runs without cookies. You can opt out in your browser settings or with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
