AlphaX takes trading fees to zero, on both sides of the book
AlphaX charges 0% maker and 0% taker fees on crypto perpetuals, crypto spot and USDT-margined TradFi perpetuals. On a $100,000 trade at the common 0.05% taker rate, that is $50 a side you no longer pay.
Most exchanges compete on rebates and VIP tiers. AlphaX skipped the ladder and set the fee to zero. Makers pay 0%. Takers pay 0%. The company says the zero-fee schedule covers crypto perpetuals, crypto spot and its TradFi perpetuals, which are margined in USDT.
At a glance
- Maker fee — 0%
- Taker fee — 0%
- Markets — crypto perpetuals, crypto spot, and stock, index and commodity perpetuals
- Leverage — up to 1000x on selected contracts, according to the site
- Type — a hybrid exchange that pairs a centralised order book with on-chain wallet access
What zero is worth
Fees are the one cost a trader pays on every single order. At the common perpetual rate of 0.02% maker and 0.05% taker, opening a $100,000 position costs $20 as a maker or $50 as a taker, and closing it costs the same again. Someone who opens and closes that size once a day as a taker hands over about $36,500 a year before funding or spread.
On AlphaX that line is $0. Funding payments and spreads still apply, as they do everywhere.
Who it suits
High-frequency and scalping traders feel it first, because they pay fees many times a day. It also changes the maths for anyone running a grid or market-making bot, where the fee is often bigger than the edge.
Try it
Opening an account takes about a minute through the link in the fact sheet. AlphaX describes the zero-fee schedule as a limited-time programme for eligible regions and sets its own terms. Leveraged derivatives can wipe out your whole margin, and higher leverage gets you there faster. Not available in restricted jurisdictions, including South Korea and the United States.
